IOW pair gated but Stoney shot under both bend 2 lap 1.

Haines and Bunyan R/R's. Comets gated Branney led till bend 4 lap 2 when Haines went round him. Bunyan on Branneys tail but couldnt get passed.

Stojanowski TR. Stojanowski threw everything at beating Kauko into turn 2 but made a mess of it and both comets took off for a easy max Stojanowski retired bend 4 lap 3 while last.

WE SAID IT WOULD BE TOUGH AT WORKINGTON - AND SO IT WAS!

The Wightlink Islanders sorely missed the injured Cory Gathercole in their latest away match at Workington on Saturday and crashed to a 58-32 defeat against a side who, like ourselves, are unbeaten at home this season.
We simply had no answer to their three heat leaders of Daniel Nermark, Kauko Nieminen and Carl Stonehewer who only dropped one point between them on what was simply a night to forget for the Wightlink Islanders.
