A "cracking start" by the Edinburgh pair, but Sneddon really struggling to hold things together on the turns - he kept sliding to the fence, allowing Phillips to nip through on the inside exiting turn 2, lap 1. With Tully disappearing into the distance, Phillips tried to slow proceedings down to help Bargh to pass Sneddon and he almost succeeded.
Heat 04
Matthew Wethers..3
Aaron Summers..1
Krzysztof Stojanowski..0
James Holder..2
4-2 15-9 TIME: 56.6
Wethers from the gate and never troubled, but Holder rode a great race to hold on to 2nd place. And he's got the hang of turn 2 as well.

Jason Bunyan..2
Cory Gathercole..F/Ex
4-2 19-11 TIME: 56.0
Tully takes the R/R for Edinburgh.
This race will be re-run with only 3 riders, as Gathercole takes a tumble on the 3rd-4th turns while attempting to overtake someone (we're not sure who).
Sneddon from the start, but Bunyan around the outside of him and Tully on the inside passed him on the 1st-2nd turns. Tully then "absolutely smoked" the hard-chasing Bunyan.

Matthew Wethers..2
Krzysztof Stojanowski..0
Andrew Bargh..1
5-1 39-15 TIME: 57.4

A "cracking wee race" as the Islanders make the start, but Sneddon rounds them on turns 3-4, lap 2, and Wethers drives through on the inside on turns 1-2, lap 3 - Wethers appeared to slow a little to let the captain take the win.

Bunyan takes a Tactical Ride for Isle of Wight
This race will be re-run with all 4 riders, after a tight turns 1-2 see Tully inspecting the safety fence - all 4 a fair decision, but Gathercole "takes no prisoners".
Isle of Wight pair from the start, but Tully dives between the two exiting turn 2 and takes the lead, with Wethers joining him after overtaking Bunyan entering turn 3 and driving around the outside of Gathercole on turns 3-4 - a lot of action and it was all on lap 1.

Glen Phillips..Ex/2
Andrew Bargh..2
4-2 53-19 TIME: 57.0
Phillips just beats the 2 minutes, only to have his bike fail at the tapes - he was excluded and elected to go off a 15 metre handicap, but they couldn't get his bike going, so he didn't beat the 2 minutes for a second time and was excluded, again.
Bargh from the gate, but Sneddon passed around the outside on turn 4, lap 1 - Summers got into trouble on lap 2 and may have done himself a mischief in a "delicate area".

Ryan Fisher..2
James Holder..0
Jason Bunyan..1
5-1 67-23 TIME: 57.1
We've no idea who won the coin toss, but Isle of Wight are off 1 & 3.
Tully made a great start and was leading, but entering turn 3 it looked as if Bunyan was going to "wind it on" and pass him, until Fisher swooped through on the inside of Bunyan, confounded his dastardly plan to wreck Tully's maximum and shephered the youngster home.
Bunyan "worth a lot more points than he scored".
