ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR TONIGHT
Despite the morning rain it's all systems go in terms of tonight's Premier League meeting at Smallbrook between the Wightlink Islanders and the Stoke Potters going ahead, starting at the normal time of 7.30p.m. Confirming this, co-promoter Dave Pavitt said, "the morning rain has saved us having to physically water the track which I'm sure will be tip top condition come start time. "I'm hoping that we get a good turn out to cheer on the Wightlink Islanders as we need the two points for the win after being pipped by two points at Berwick on Saturday night." Team news is that Paul Fry is still out injured but young Aussie James Holder will ride despite having broken a bone in his hand.
