Following upon his success in Thursday's meeting at Altrip in Germany (see below), Wightlink Islander Glen Phillips moved onto Marianske Lazne in the Czech Republic for Saturday's first meeting of four that will decide the destiny of this year's World Individual Longtrack crown. And what a great start the Wightlink Islander made to his challenge for this year's title on the massive 1000 metre circuit by finishing third behind German aces Danny Bacher and Gerd Riss. The series now moves onto St. Macaire in France for the next round that will take place on June 28. It's France again for the third round on September 6 before the fourth and final leg of the series takes place seven days later on September 13 at Vechta in Germany.
